Water Quality

Water Treatment & Purification Systems

Borehole water is not automatically safe to drink or use. We test your water and install the treatment system that matches your actual results — not a generic package.

Pure drinking water flowing

Borehole water quality varies significantly across Gauteng, North West and Limpopo. Some sources run clean and require only basic filtration. Others carry high iron levels, manganese, bacteria, sediment or hardness minerals that make the water unsafe to drink and corrosive to your plumbing and appliances.

Hard Rock Borehole Drilling and Installation installs water treatment systems based on what is actually in your water. We don't fit a one-size standard filter and leave. We assess the water, specify the right treatment system and install it correctly.

Treatment Systems We Install

High-purity filtration arrays, reverse osmosis units, hard scale neutralizers, and metal extraction systems.

Borehole Filtration & System Setup

A complete borehole water system combines filtration, purification and storage into a single, integrated setup. We design systems that bring raw borehole water to a standard safe for drinking, cooking and general household or commercial use.

  • Sediment pre-filter stages (removes debris particles)
  • Iron & manganese chemical extraction filters
  • Activated carbon filtration stages (removes odours)
  • UV sterilisation modules (neutralizes bacteria)
  • Pressure vessel transfer and delivery pump installation

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems

Reverse osmosis removes dissolved solids, chemicals, heavy metals and contaminants that standard filters cannot catch. RO-treated water is suitable for drinking, food preparation and applications that need very high purity water.

  • Residential drinking water systems (under-sink or whole-house)
  • Water shop systems and commercial vending installations
  • Low-TDS water setups for agricultural use
  • Ongoing membrane swaps and system maintenance checks

3-Stage Filtration Systems

Removes sediment, chlorine, tastes and odours in three sequential stages (5-micron sediment pre-filter, GAC filter, and carbon block polisher). Cost-effective municipal and borehole treatment.

Activated Carbon Filters

Specially configured carbon units to strain pesticides, chemicals, chlorine and other organic residues that affect odor and taste. Standalone or integrated designs.

Sand Filtration Units

First-stage sediment catch systems to handle high turbidity and biological debris. Best for farms or water systems pulling from dams or muddy underground water.

Iron & Manganese Removal

High iron and manganese stain your sinks, discolour laundry, and ruin your pipe systems. We test the levels in your water and build customized iron exchange resin filters to extract both metals efficiently.

Water Softening Systems

Hard water is packed with calcium and magnesium, which blocks your geysers, kettles, and pipes with scale. We install ion-exchange softeners to protect your appliances and plumbing.

Lime Scale Removal

Descaling procedures to clean out old line buildup and scale inhibitor installations to prevent new mineral crystallization.

Water Dispensers

Bottleless dispensers supplying hot, cold, or ambient water. Direct connection to your purified lines means no heavy water bottles to manage.

Water Shop Installation

Complete commercial purification vending systems. Includes high-capacity RO systems, storage tanks, glass filling bays, and payment systems.

The Method

How We Decide What You Need

We do not install random filtration units. We follow a strict diagnostic procedure to make sure you get the right water configuration.

01

Water Testing

We draw a sample and test key indicators: pH, TDS, iron, bacteria, hardness, and turbidity.

02

Results Review

We walk you through the laboratory findings and explain exactly what every count means for your health.

03

System Specification

We specify the target filtration gear to solve the actual contamination, calculated to your daily flow rate.

04

Professional Installation

Our trained crew installs the system, links all bypass valves, sets electric sensors, and tests the water line completely before signoff.

05

Maintenance Briefing

We detail your filter swap intervals, membrane flushing schedules, and resin regeneration steps so the system stays clear.

Handover Maintenance Care

Clear explanation of operating rules, filter swap intervals, and ongoing technical support.

Common Questions

Find answers about water testing, filter replacements, pressure drops, and municipal water options.

How do I know if my borehole water is safe?
You don't, without testing. Borehole water can look clear and still carry bacteria, dissolved metals or other contaminants. We can test your water and give you a clear picture of what is in it.
Can you treat municipal water as well?
Yes. Municipal water often carries chlorine and may have taste or hardness issues we can address with the right filtration system.
How often do filters need to be changed?
It depends on the system and your water quality. We give you specific guidance for your installation at handover and can provide ongoing maintenance if you need it.
Will a water treatment system affect my water pressure?
Some filtration systems cause a small pressure drop. We account for this during the design phase and can include a booster pump where needed.
What areas do you cover?
Gauteng, North West and Limpopo.
